Wed night's dinner

Clam chowder - used up the last of the fresh asari. I have only ever had clam chowder out once, at Costco haha! so not sure if I made the real McCoy or not, but it sort of tasted like a cream stew. nice though

Hokke marinated in miso. Had an argument with Dad over Skype whether Japanese "Hokke" is the same as NZ Hoki fish....wikipedia told me that they are not the same, dad tole me they are...who to believe???

pumpkin and cucumber salad - Joji's mum's recipe, I love this one:
1) Boil then mash pumpkin; cool.
2) Salt thinly sliced cucumber. Let sit for a while. Then squeeze juice out of cucumber.
3) mix 1 and 2 together with some s/p to taste, and mayonnaise
4) spoon into little crispy lettuce "cups"

Right, K and I are gonna go sit in shower to cool off before we hit playgroup today - K is already drowning in her own sweat pool here. And we all know that little-kid's-sweaty-head-smell is SO not the new Chanel No5.
